  • This new elementary school was designed for a population of 601 students using DOE Special Facility Funds. The 101,368 s.f. facility was constructed at a cost of approximately $19,500,000.00 and was ready for occupancy in the fall of 2008. The "H" plan was designed with interior corridors. Located above the corridors is a mechanical mezzanine where the HVAC air handlers are located. Three of the four wings contain classrooms which are organized by age groups within the wings. The fourth wing contains the multi-purpose/dining room and kitchen facility.
  • Centrally located in the center of the "H" are the art room and media center. All classrooms are designed with audio enhanced capabilities as well as video projection for TV, VCR and teacher computer station. One of the classroom wings was designed with hurricane enhanced construction to provide as a shelter during hurricanes.
